Dr. Kelly Wise came to me knowing it was time to upgrade the website for his quickly growing pyschotherapy practice and to hand over the job of creating the site to someone who wasn’t also a full-time therapist on his team.
He said he wanted his site to come across as more professional, more legit (for what it’s worth, his business was already super-legit), and one that better reflected the particular queer- friendly, sex-positive angle of Kelly’s practice.
Kelly was really clear that he wanted to express his taste, but he worried that it wouldn’t translate into something professional. We put together a mood board that included bright, cheerful colors, whimsical graphics, and the street art that appealed to Kelly’s sense of style and translated it into a welcoming, hopeful, playful site that still communicates plenty of authority and expertise.
Kelly and I worked together to develop his brand messaging, visual identity, website copy, and Squarespace site.
